Ms. Angelica Nunez, a Mexican national, is the Managerof the Global Department in the Urban, Subnational Finance, Tourism &Disaster Management, USTDM, based in Washington, DC. She joined the World Bankin 2007 as an Urban Specialist in Latin America and has since led and co-ledinvestment, program and policy operations in urban development from around theworld, including Colombia, Mexico, Central America, Argentina, Egypt, SouthAfrican and India. She is specialized in housing markets and innovative financefor urban redevelopment. Most recently, she was the Lead Operations Adviser forthe Sustainable Development in the Eastern and Southern Africa Region, whichhas the largest lending portfolio at the World Bank. Prior to joining the WorldBank, Ms. Nunez work in a project finance consultancy in London, assetmanagement in Mexico and in the economic research department of the MexicanCentral Bank. She has a BSc in Finance and Accounting and an MSc in Economicsand another MSc in Economic History.
