Carlos Albero is Market Area Manager for Iberia at DNV, with more than 20 years of international experience in energy markets, project finance, mergers and acquisitions, technical due diligence and asset management. A Mechanical Engineer with an MBA, he combines technical expertise with a commercial and strategic perspective.

In his current role, he leads market development and strategic client engagement across power generation, storage, hydrogen and energy transition initiatives. Previously, he served as DNV’s Global Finance Segment Leader, connecting technical advisory teams with banks, infrastructure funds and institutional investors worldwide.

Carlos has advised on financing and acquisition transactions involving thousands of megawatts of energy assets, helping clients assess risks, performance and long-term investment value. He also led DNV’s Asset and Operations Management business for Iberia and Latin America, overseeing multidisciplinary teams and assignments across the energy asset lifecycle.
